Electricity Ministry in negotiations with General Electric for wind power station

Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy is negotiating a contract with General Electric (GE) worth EUR150 million to build a wind power plant that is expected to generate 150 MW of electricity to be located either in the Gulf of Suez or West Nile Delta. The project will be carried out on a BOO basis, with the ministry buying the generated energy for 4.06 US cents per kWh. (Al Mal)
