Egypt received USD2bn Saudi deposit in September, almost finalised IMF prerequisite financing
Egypt’s Prime Minister Sherif Ismael told reporters on Thursday that the country had received a USD2bn deposit from Saudi Arabia. An unnamed senior official at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) told reporters that Egypt has almost finalised the entire USD6bn required funding before it presents the USD12bn loan request to the IMF Executive Board.
