The draft budget proposal for FY18-19 shows cigarettes taxes of EGP59.1bn for FY18-19 vs. EG58.5bn for FY17-18 (+1%). Tax revenues are anticipated to increase 23% to EGP770bn. The budget is still subject to approval by the Parliament.
