DLD to introduce new regulations and fees on REITs
Dubai Land Department (DLD) is planning to introduce new regulations governing REITs and time shares. Marwan Bin Ghalita, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), said that both, listed and unlisted REITs, would soon need to register with DLD. The authority is also planning to introduce fees for investors when they enter and exit REITs after signing agreements with Nasdaq Dubai and DIFC.
