Directorate-General of Civil Aviation invites bids for new airport runway
The Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has invited firms to bid for the design and construction of a new airport runway at the Kuwait International airport (KIA), setting 7 February as the deadline for the submission of technical and financial offers. The contract will include the construction of a new runway and the upgrade of the airport’s existing eastern runway. A number of airport projects in Kuwait are currently in various stages of procurement, the largest of which is the USD4.3 billion Terminal 2 project, which is awaiting the final approval, following the selection of a preferred bidder in August.
