Bids received for USD77mn Nile River Bus Ferry PPP
Egypt’s PPP Central Unit has received bids from developers for the planned Nile River Bus Ferry Public-Private Partnership (PPP). It is unclear how many developers have submitted bids, but the following were reported to have submitted pre-qualification documents: International Development & Manufacturing Experts Group (Egypt), Lines & Angles, Engineering and Business Development (Egypt); Sofico (Egypt); El KMMAR - Tourism (Egypt); Elmarah Travel - Tourism (Egypt); Nile Transportation Service (Egypt); Grup Impeks Ltd. - Energy & Metal Industry (Turkey); CRISIL Infrastructure Advisory (INDIA); SK Engineering & Construction (Korea); Mott MacDonald (United Kingdom); Euclid Infotech (India ); and Mubadala Infrastructure Partners Limited (UAE), among others. This is Egypt’s first transport PPP project, with other transport investment being funded by development banks. The project is estimated at USD77mn. (MEED, MEED Projects)
