Banks attracted USD57bn inflows since float: CBE Governor
Egypt’s banking system has attracted more than USD57bn cash inflows since EGP float in November, according to Central Bank Governor, Tarek Amer, who added that the decision to raise interest rates by 200 bps would encourage USD holders to exchange them for Egyptian pounds.
