Air Arabia suspends scheduled flights in Jordan; starts operating as a charter airline
Budget carrier Air Arabia’s (AIRA.DU) Jordanian subsidiary has suspended its scheduled flights in Jordan (one aircraft out of fleet of 49) and started operating as a charter airline instead, after it was denied rights to operate more than one aircraft out of its Amman base earlier this month, said the company’s CEO Adel Ali. If the airline is able to secure new traffic rights, it will reinstate business in Jordan, he added. On another note, Air Arabia expects Morocco hub to continue to grow and is also hoping to be allowed access to some of India’s smaller airports.
Air Arabia (DU): AED1.24 as of 28 Nov. 2017, Rating: Neutral, TP: AED1.20/share, MCap: USD1,577mn, AIRARABI UH/AIRA.DU
