Abu Dhabi occupancy rate rises in July, but rates fall
Occupancy rates in Abu Dhabi hotels are estimated to have risen by 3.7pps Y-o-Y to 61.6% in July, albeit with a Y-o-Y drop in the daily rate (ADR) of 5.4% to AED368.4, according to a recent report by STR. Revenue per available room (RevPAR) dropped by 1.9% Y-o-Y to AED227.1. The report mentioned that the Ramadan calendar shift between 2015 and 2016 had helped the numbers, adjusting for which, RevPAR fell by 14.3% Y-o-Y on lower occupancy rates and ADR. (Arabian Business)
