Abraaj finalises cEGP200 m acquisition of Al Shorouk Hospital, rules out further acquisitions for the time being
Abraaj Group has completed the acquisition of Al Shorouk Hospital for cEGP209 million, through its subsidiary, Cleopatra Hospital, which falls under Abraaj’s healthcare platform, North Africa Holding Company (NorAH). Al Shorouk Hospital has cEGP12 million in capital with a capacity of 120 beds. Post-acquisition, Abraaj’s total number of beds in Egypt is 520. On another note, Abraaj’s Partner Ahmed Badreldin, noted that the company is not seeking to undertaking any other major healthcare acquisitions until amendments to the healthcare act are passed.
