Yields rise at six-month, one-year T-bill auctions on Thursday, foreigners buy 26% of sale

Average yields on the 182-day treasury bill rose to 19.368% on Thursday from 18.832% at the last sale, while those on the 364-day bill rose to 19.308% from 18.705%. Total foreign contribution amounted to EGP4.5bn (USD253.4mn) or 26% of the sale, Head of Public Debt at the Finance Ministry, Sami Khallaf, said. Maximum yields were 19.641% and 19.491%, respectively. Accepted bids were EGP8.2bn and EGP8.9bn, representing the 122% and 123% of the required amounts, but only 60% and 48% of the submitted bids respectively.
