A USD1.1bn mega mall is planned in Deira by Nakheel, in an attempt to revitalise the retail sector in the area. The Deira Islands Mall will be around 600,000 sqm in size, with investment costs expected to exceed AED4bn, according to Ali Rashid Lootah, Chairman of Nakheel. The mall is at its final design stages and is expected to be put out for tender soon. (Arabian Business)
