USD-EGP stable at regular auction, stronger on parallel market
The Central Bank of Egypt held the EGP steady against the USD at its regular foreign currency sale on Tuesday, as the currency strengthened slightly on the parallel market. The bank sold USD118mn at the unchanged rate of EGP8.78 per dollar. Meanwhile, two parallel market traders said they were selling dollars at EGP12.50 per dollar, but did not give volumes of trade.
