Trade Ministry to hire German consultant to help with automotive directive
The Trade and Industry Ministry is planning to hire a German consultant to help draft the automotive directive, who participated in the development of similar strategies in South Africa and Morocco, Trade Minister Tarek Kabil said. The automotive directive, which would give tax breaks and incentives to local manufacturers, was put on hold by Parliament due to several objections by key parties including car importers and EU manufacturers.
