Telecom regulator sets new conditions for 4G licence to international operators

The National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has set new conditions for international operators who may be interested in acquiring the 4G licence in Egypt if one of the local operators backed off from accepting the licence terms, according to a government official. One of the conditions is payment of the full licence cost in USD. Zain Kuwait, Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and China Telecom had previously announced their interest in entering the Egyptian market as a fifth player. (Al Borsa)
