Telecom regulator renews talks with armed forces to offer additional mobile spectrum to operators
The National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has renewed talks with the Egyptian Armed Forces (EAF) to free up spectrum to be utilised by the operators, according to Moustafa Adelwahed, Deputy Head of NTRA. Additional spectrum would result in better telecom services to subscribers. NTRA had recently offered a total of 40 MHz of mobile spectrum to operators. (Amwal Al Ghad)
