Telecom Egypt (TE) [ETEL.CA] is currently in advanced talks with Vodafone Egypt (VFE) to secure a national roaming agreement, according to unnamed sources. If finalised, TE will be allowed to offer 2G and 3G services through the network of VFE. The National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) gave the mobile network operators (MNOs) a two-month grace period to come up with an agreement with TE.
