The Tourism Development Authority (TDA) announced it had received 112 offers from local and regional real estate developers to acquire 37 land plots in the North Coast, from a total of 73 land plots recently launched across all areas. Land prices at the North Coast ranged between USD47/sqm and USD53/sqm. Ras Sidr (Red Sea Coast) attracted high interest, with 70 developers competing over 10 land plots. Prices ranged between USD8/sqm and USD10/sqm at Ras Sidr. A public auction will be conducted to determine the buyers, in case more than one bid was technically accepted for the Ras Sidr plots. Orascom Hotels & Development (OHD) is reported to be bidding on two land plots at the North Coast. Moreover, Amer Group is reported to bidding for a land plot in Ain Al-Sokhna, on a 10-year right of use basis, for USD5/sqm per annum. (Al Mal)
