Southern Province Cement Company [3050.SE] announced that it had commenced trial operations at the company’s second production line in Bisha cement plant, which will continue until the line reaches its contracted capacity of 5,000 clinker tpd. The new addition will raise the company’s installed clinker capacity in Bisha plant to 10,000 tpd, while raising Southern Cement’s total installed clinker capacity to 33,000 tpd, through its three production plants. The trial phase will have no significant financial implications on Southern Cement.
