Sipchem announces the start of scheduled maintenance at some of its plants
Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) [2310.SE] has announced that it plans to undergo scheduled maintenance shutdown at i) the carbon monoxide plant, owned by International Gases Company (IGC); ii) the Acetic Acid plant, owned by International Acetate Company (IAC); and iii) the ethyle acetate plant, owned by Sipchem Chemicals Company (SCC). According to the announcement, the turnaround maintenance operations will commence on 1 May and are expected to be completed within 15 days. Sipchem has yet to estimate the financial impact of the shutdown, which will show on 2Q15 financial results. It is worth noting that Sipchem owns 72% of IGC, 87% of IAC, and 95% of SCC. (Tadawul)
