Sawiris ready to invest in Oi SA in Brazil, but not through OTMT
Naguib Sawiris is ready to invest in Oi SA, a wireless carrier which filed for protection on USD19bn of debt this week in Brazil, according to Bloomberg. However, we had contacted OTMT’s [OTMT.CA] Investor Relations Director, Marwan Hussein, last week who confirmed that the potential acquisition would not go through OTMT.
