The Saudisation of four out of 12 jobs in retail and wholesale shops, effective as of September 11, will provide job opportunities for 30,000 Saudi nationals, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing a Labour Ministry official. This number accounts for 50% of the total 60,000 jobs. The four trading activities to be 70% Saudised include car and motorbike showrooms, shops selling ready-made garments for men and children, home and office furniture shops and shops selling kitchenware. The nationalisation of the entire 12 activities will be completed by January 2019.
