Saudi Hajj Ministry, Agoda ink MoU to achieve 30mn pilgrims goal
Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah Ministry signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with online travel agents (OTA), Agoda, to increase the Kingdom’s capacity to over 30mn pilgrims, a statement said. Under the agreement, Agoda will utilise its technology, marketing platform and resources to achieve that goal, which is part of Vision 2030. The MoU is the ministry’s first deal with a global OTA. Vision 2030 aims to increase the number of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to 15mn annually by 2020 and 30mn by 2030.
