Saudi Aramco aims to almost triple its chemicals production by 12mn metric tonnes per year to 34mn metric tonnes per year by 2030 across global operations, said Abdulaziz Al Judaimi, the company’s Business Line Head for Downstream. Aramco's global refining capacity is set to rise to 8-10mn bpd from more than 5mn bpd currently, over the same period. The company has been integrating its refineries with petrochemical infrastructure as it develops its downstream business and expands its trading of refined products, aiming to help maximise value from its hydrocarbon base, diversify feedstock and chemical products.
