Saudi Arabia scraps 6,000 'non-beneficial' projects
Saudi Arabia has scrapped c6,000 projects deemed non-beneficial to economic diversification within its Vision 2030 development scheme, said Osama Al-Afaleq, Chairman of the Saudi Contractors' Commission. The number of abandoned projects is not large considering the size of the Kingdom's economy and the fact that there are small and medium projects almost in all areas, he added. "I believe the government scrapped those projects after studies showed they will not pay off in terms of development and economic growth".
