Saudi Arabia re-opens sukuk issuance worth USD1.3bn
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Finance announced that it reopened for the second time its fifth domestic sukuk. The issuance size is set at SAR4.85bn (USD1.29bn), bringing the total sukuk issuance to SAR17.92bn.The Ministry divided the sukuk issuance into three tranches: the first one valued at SAR2.6bn, maturing in 2023; the second tranche worth SAR1.85bn, maturing in 2025; and the third at SAR400mn, maturing in 2028. The Kingdom’s fifth sukuk issuance was closed in January with an issuance size set at SAR5.85bn. It was reopened a month later at SAR7.22bn.
