Saudi airports passenger count grows 10% in 2015

The passenger count in Saudi airports increased 9.5% Y-o-Y to 81.9 million in 2015, the state news agency reported on Saturday, citing new data from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). Flights also grew 9.8% Y-o-Y to 646,700. Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) came on top by number of passengers and flights, registering increases of 7% and 17% Y-o-Y to 30 million travelers and 212,800 flights, respectively. King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh came in second, with 22.5 million passengers, marking a 12% rise Y-o-Y. Flights saw a 6% growth Y-o-Y to 172,800. (Argaam)
