Saudi Airlines Catering announces the opening of new production unit at Madinah Airport
Saudi Airlines Catering (6004.SE) announced the launch of its new in-flight catering production unit at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah on 18 May 2016. The unit premises covers an area of 16,000 square metres with 5,700 sqm designated for the production area. The new unit’s maximum capacity is 45,000 in-flight meals per day, amounting to 16,425,000 meals annually. The positive contribution to the company’s financial performance will be more palpable after the completion of the expansion in the Holy Mosque in Madinah, which should boost the number of flights as pilgrim numbers are expected to more than double.
