Sadara Chemical Company has announced the start of operations at its mixed-feedstock cracker that will utilise naphtha and ethane feedstock. The cracker has a capacity of 1.5mn tonnes per annum (mtpa) of ethylene and 400,000 tonnes per year (tpy) of propylene. The cracker is one of the 26 facilities that are being built at Sadara’s chemicals complex in Jubail industrial city. The company added that the operation of the cracker facility would be reflected on 3Q16 financial results. (Tadawul)
