Sadara has released its 4Q16 financial results, showing a net loss of SAR1.3bn compared to a net losses of SAR1.2bn in 4Q15 and SAR1.4bn in 3Q16. Gross profit was reported at SAR330.74mn versus gross losses of SAR72.13mn in 4Q15 and SAR256.059mn in 3Q16. Operating loss came in at SAR1bn compared to operating losses of SAR797.9mn in 4Q15 and SAR1.21bn in 3Q16. The company attributed the Y-o-Y decline in performance to the increase in plant startup costs and the ramping up of integrated facilities. On a quarterly basis, revenues (SAR1.13bn) contributed to the contraction of net losses. (Tadawul)
