Yousef Al-Benyan, the CEO of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) [2010.SE] has been elected the Chairman of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA). Al-Benyan takes over from Rashed Al Shamsi, former Petrochemicals Director at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). Prior to Al Shamsi, the position was held by Mohamed Al Mady - former SABIC CEO - from 2006 until 2015.
