The USD22.5bn metro project, called the King Abdul Aziz Project for Riyadh Public Transport (KAPRPT), is 45% complete in 225 locations, Riyadh Prince Faisal bin Bandar said, adding that acceleration is expected in the next phase. The project, which is due for completion in less than five years, includes the 40 km of tunnels, 45km of bridges, 16km of surface tracks, and six train lines totaling 176 km. (Arab News)
