Replacement of foreign workers could be our resort if jobs are needed, Labour Minister says
The Minister of Labor, Moufarrej bin Saad Al-Haqbani, said that the Ministry will resort to replace expat workers with nationals if there is a need to create jobs, adding that Saudis should own investments and not just be employees. There is no need to worry about job opportunities as they are plenty, given the Saudisation policy, especially in the telecommunications, he said, adding that the replacement decision could be regionally based rather than sector-based. Al-Haqbani thanked expats for their role in the development of the Kingdom, but iterated that there has to be a replacement if the need be. (Argaam)
