Qalaa Holdings [CCAP.CA] has announced that Egyptian Refining Company’s (ERC) facilities will start trial operations in 3Q17. Management noted that the facility has a refining capacity of 5mn tonnes per annum (mtpa), and that the project is 90% complete. It is worth noting that ERC is a USD3.7bn project that is 19%-owned by Qalaa. (Al Borsa)
