Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly begins discussions with Exports Council on new incentives programme

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has begun discussions with the Exports Council to develop a more efficient incentives programme. Ministry of Trade is working on replacing the current one, according to a Cabinet statement, and Prime Minister Madbouly will begin holding separate meetings next week with the council amidst efforts to boost exports to tighten Egypt’s trade deficit, and has instructed Minister of Trade, Amr Nassar, to draft the new incentive programme within one month. The government has been looking into alternative solutions amidst delayed export subsidy funds and complaints from traders.
