Petro Rabigh restarts operations at its ethane cracker; financial impact expected to be SAR350mn
Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) [2380.SE] announced that temporary maintenance has been conducted for its ethane cracker, which was earlier shut down because of a default in the turbine generator. The company noted that the ethane cracker restarted its operations as of 14 July 2016 pending the arrival of new parts required to implement a full repair work and maintenance. According to the announcement, the financial impact of the shutdown is estimated at SAR350mn and will be reflected in 2Q16 and 3Q16 results. (Tadawul)
