Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) is well on its way to realising the goal of producing 600,000 barrels of oil per day well before the original timeline of 2019, according to managing director Raoul Restucci. Oman's largest oil company has adopted strategies designed to increase efficiencies and minimise waste in this period of low oil prices. Restucci also addressed PDO’s plans to invest USD10bn in hydrocarbon projects around the country. One of the largest investments in this plan includes the development of the mega Rabab Harweel integrated project (RHIP), which paves the way to develop 240mn barrels of oil and 100mn barrels of condensate, with the export of 1tn ft3 of non-associated sale gas.
