Parliament to discuss VAT next month, Finance Minister says
Parliament will discuss the Value-Added Tax (VAT) legislation next month, and the Ministry of Finance is ready to start implementing it the following month, Finance Minister Amr El Garhy said. The migration from sales tax to VAT aims to add c1% of GDP (EGP30bn) in revenues and has an upside of 1% to inflation, he added. (Alborsa)
