Parliament postpones budget discussions to 26 June
Parliament has decided to postpone discussions on FY16/17 budget to 26 June, from 19 June, due to delays on part of different committees to submit their reports on the matter. Allocations to health, education and research will be 10% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the current fiscal year estimated at EGP2.8tr, instead of the Gross National Product (GNP), which is harder to estimate.
