Omifco plans expansion with USD1.2bn third train

Oman India Fertiliser Company SAOC (Omifco), a joint venture owned by the Oman Oil Company (OOC) SAOC and Indian fertiliser firms Iffco and Kribhco, plans to expand its capacity by building a third train of ammonia-urea plants. The third train is aimed at producing an additional 1.3mn tonnes of urea per annum, with a capital expenditure of USD1.2bn, company’s Managing Director S G Gedigeri told in a press statement.
