Following the deal reached by OPEC members last week to cut oil cartel’s production, Oman, the biggest non-OPEC producer in the Middle East, will also plan to reduce its oil output if requested by OPEC, according to H E Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhi, Minister of Oil and Gas. H E Rumhi confirmed that Oman will be attending a meeting between OPEC and non-OPEC countries in Vienna, Austria on December 10, and a decision to slash country’s oil production may be taken after that.
