Number of passengers at KAIA reaches record-high of 34mn in 2017

The number of passengers travelling through King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah grew 9% Y-o-Y, reaching a record-high of 34mn during 2017. According to the airport's annual statistical report, international passengers increased 17% Y-o-Y, while domestic passengers increased 7% Y-o-Y. Total flights were up 3% during the year, reaching 226.8k. The report said it anticipates a continuing growth in 2018, in line with the current developments in airport terminals.
