No specific exchange rate set for the budget until now, finance Ministry says
The Ministry of Finance said that, so far, there is no specific exchange rate set for the FY16/17 budget. Determining the exchange rate for the budget after the EGP float is a difficult task, especially that it is unstable in the meantime, Deputy Finance, Minister for Treasury Mohamed Maait, said. The fiscal year has already started in July last year, and its budget was set at an exchange rate of EGP9.00 to the USD, whereas banks currently trade at a rate of EGP19.00. (Al Mal)
