No extra tax to be imposed on fuel, Cabinet says

The Cabinet confirmed, in an official statement, that fuel would not witness any price hikes, and that the new Value-Added Tax (VAT) bill, which has yet to be presented to Parliament, does not impose any new tax on fuel. In May, the Ministry of Finance listed 52 commodities and services that will be exempt from the VAT, including crude oil, natural gas, and butane. (Al Ahram Online)
