New pharmaceutical factories to enter Saudi Arabia would raise production by 30% in next five years
Saudi Arabia will witness the entry of 10 new pharmaceutical factories over the next two years, which would put the total plants across the Kingdom at 30 and raise local production (currently 10mn pills per annum) by 30% over the next five years, according to Faisal Al Dayel, Chairman of the National Committee for Pharmaceutical Industries at the Council of Saudi Chambers. He added that the government is planning to boost exports to Europe going forward, with exports only accounting for 10% of local production.
