New permanent residency system to attract talents to Saudi Arabia

President of the Federation of Labour Committees in Saudi Arabia Nidal Radwan expected the creation of an independent body directly attached to the Council of Ministers to assume responsibility for creating a system for "permanent residence card for non-Saudis," similar to the Green Card and American supervision. Radwan said the permanent residence card system will provide several economic and security benefits to the Kingdom, most importantly that cardholders will pay everything paid by the Saudi Zakat funds and value-added taxes, social insurance. The programme will also attract talent and investments into the Kingdom, Radwan said, adding that benefits provided to cardholders would include ownership of property and engaging in commercial and industrial activities.
