Najran Cement to shut down, re-operate several production lines
Najran Cement Company will shut down its second production line (capacity: 3k tonnes per day) and re-operate its third production line (capacity: 6.5k tonnes per day), effective 1 July. The company attributed the movement to low clinker inventory levels, now in line with the company’s strategy; the movement will, hence, increase the efficiency of the operations. The company also noted that the financial impact would save SAR5.7mn in fixed costs for FY19.
