MSM to launch day trading to boost market liquidity, activity
The Muscat Securities Market will launch day trading from 13 November. Day trading involves buying and selling the same shares on a single trading day, or selling existing shares and buying them back the same day, through the same broker. MSM and the Oman Brokers Association (OBA) have selected the 30 most-liquid listed companies and those which were traded at least 50 per cent of trading days in 52 weeks to form the eligible list of companies for day trading, an MSM statement said.
