The Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) is reported to have carried out, on Saturday, a new wave of payments to its employees, whose salaries have been delayed for around five months. Employees working on contracts for completed projects were also handed over their letters of termination, along with their salaries. SGB had paid more than 10,000 delayed salaries in May, transferred the services of 16,000 personnel to new sponsors, and laid-off more than 69,000 of its workers, according to Abdullah Al-Olayan, Director of the Makkah branch of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development.
