Mobile operators request guarantees from telecom regulator to offer more 4G spectrum
The mobile network operators (MNOs) have requested guarantees from the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) to offer additional 4G spectrum two years after the 4G service is launched, according to a high-ranking source at NTRA. The government is allocating a total of 40 MHz to be distributed as follows: 20 MHz to Telecom Egypt (TE) [ETEL.CA], 7.5 MHz to each Vodafone Egypt (VFE) and Orange Egypt and 5 MHZ to Etisalat Misr.
